She subsequently attended the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Rome and Milan's Accademia del Teatro alla Scala, studying with Profs. Carlo Tamponi and Davide Formisano. In 2008 she performed as principal flute in La Scala's production of the ballets 'Carmen' and 'L'Arlesienne' with Roberto Bolle, in collaboration with La Scala Academy.
Since 2006, Katrina has performed with the orchestras of Teatro alla Scala, Milan, Filarmonica della Scala, Milan, Symphonica Toscanini (Italy), Orchestra Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Rome, Symphonica d'Italia (Italy) and Sinfonica de Asturias (Oviedo, Spain) and, as principal flute, she has been contracted for programmes with the Filarmonica Toscanini, Parma, Sinfonica di Pescara, Abruzzo, Opera Oggi, Rome, and Sinfonica de Castilla y Leon (Valladolid, Spain).
She has toured Spain, Italy, Japan, England, Russia, Hungary and the United Arab Emirates with conductors L. Maazel, A. Pappano, D. Harding, Y. Temirkanov, V. Petrenko, B. Haitink, G. Dudamel, R. Chailly, G. Antonini, O. Dantone. Katrina was awarded 2nd prize in the 'Best soloist' category of the Castilla y Leon (Spain) Young Artists competition 'Arte Joven' in 2009.
